I've been mewing for about 5 months now and have some persistent issues that after many attempts of self-diagnosis remain unmitigated. Whenever I try to maintain proper tongue posture I feel a heightened sense of stress, and occasionally my throat is irritated - it burns and my voice would be a little more prone to cracking. With stress I've seen some talk of vagus nerve having a play in it but I don't engage the posterior third of my tongue. As for throat irritation I have no idea and it doesn't seem like it has been discussed here. I am certain that something is wrong with the way I maintain tongue posture as when I don't consciously do it, these issues are not present. I only soft mew, if that helps.

Scouring the internet for months on end haven't yielded any progress so it felt necessary to ask personally. I would appreciate any help on these two issues.
