Hello everybody,

I've been mewing for maybe almost a year now for 2 reasons, dysfunctions & face-looking insecurity.

I have learned a lot and have been able to understand a lot of things beauty and functions related.

Just a little background; I was good looking and kinda well-functioning until early puberty. No signs of facial degenerescence, until I developped TMJ disorders (because of orthodontic braces). From this point, it was harder and harder for me to:

chew food

keep my mouth closed, day & night

speak (luxation on both sides)

even stay in resting position, since I did not feel like I could find any.

As you see, these are main factors contributing the face developement. At first, braces treatment were to correct my -very- slight class 2 malocclusion. From the outside, it did not even seem that my chin was "backward" so I stayed good looking. But, because of the treatment, I now suffer from backward chin, loss of jawline, "round" mandible pointing down. Enough to say that the treatment did not achieve well.

At this point of my life where the melting started, I could totally observe in real time the total melting. Jaw becoming "weird", face becoming "weird", bones pain, incisors going outward because of tongue pushing them (by lack of functioning, tongue became hypotonic) resulting in huge anterior open bite (I saw it coming; however as my dad is a dentist, he told me not to worry it was in my head blabla). It was a huge emotionnal charge during my puberty. I did not know what was happening, since as they all said, it was either in my head or just how things worked, genetics blabla.

Then, at 19 1/2,I learned about Mew. Everything connected so fast and made so much sense, afterward. That's about where I learned to strengthen my tongue, keep its back on the roof all day, have tape on my mouth all night to keep it shut, stop engaging buccinators & other parasite muscles, staying pokerface while swallowing, walk straight with good neck posture, chew tough foods including falim & mastic gums.

Well, I totally achieved to do all of the above. What I gained:

Lots of functions, it's easy now to chew tough foods without pain, where it was impossible before

My anterior open bite has been corrected with ortho braces, and without retainers there's no relapse, thanks to tongue posture

My lips are less protruding, resulting in a total heal of previous "exfoliative cheilitis" where they were H24 peeling, it lasted 3-4 years and was a total mystery for me, and  for all doctors I went to

Tinnitus decreased 80%

Neck pain decreased 75%

Also, beauty-related, it all went the right way to get closer to the proportions I looked like before. I look at least a bit "healthy" again. I'm very happy about that however, since I started so deep, it's still not satisfying.

I observed that the mains beauty-related improvements are earning back some masseters, some neck, having tonic lips (less monkey like face), maybe less bucci, I have overall a lesser baby and more mature face. Also, my ramus lengthened (downward). The muscles looking gains are so amazing and they have a big role in one's degenerescent looking face, I'm sure about it. Working first on muscle is a good way to get back to a more healthy looking and attractive face.

However... It's not near enough. My maxilla is so down that

I developped a gummy smile (which I did not have before it started, few years ago, as I see on photos)

My mandible is too pointed downward, which gives a round weird mandible, with a chin set back... Which gives impression of protruding upper lips, weird almost monkey look.

Very flat midface, my "cheekline" (Mew's measure) is almost totally vertical. Which gives me some sort of "poor doggy eyes" even when I'm just pokerfacing or in any other circumstances, & big lines under both eyes & big naso-labial fold, as if I was older but I'm 20

Also, when I smile or open my mouth, my lower part goes back too much compared to anyone else. It's not dramatic but contributes to worsen the smile or the look I have when I talk.

And... The famous class-2 crooked nose (which I did not have at all before) which is so ugly. From profile it seems way too big for my face and gives weird proportions.

Well, I'm so insecure about my maxilla. Despite all my efforts, this is not healing eventho its melting is not from birth but kinda recent (4 years ago maybe). I could hardmew all day long as I did some time before, but 1. results are not necessary and 2. it takes so much energy and put so much stress I can not do anything else in my life. I need a more efficient solution.

That's why I thought about FACEPULLING. I'd like to try it to see how it evolves. Maybe later in my life I will even go for an orthotropic appliance.

Sorry for the brick, I'm a bit lost right now, I wanted to talk about my case since I can't do it in real life to anyone.

If anyone has advices on facepulling and/or success stories, or any other ideas that could help my maxilla, I'd be grateful. Thank you !
