First of all, i didn’t plan on making an account to discuss this but i did. Anyways how i’d like to start this is that i discovered mewing by accident on youtube and thought it was a joke, but after further researching i thought it could be possibly true so i tried it. I found mewing 4 weeks ago and i’ve tried to correct all my posture issues. What i didn’t realise is that normal mewing was not constantly pushing your tongue up but i was doing exactly that, not knowing that is hard mewing which i found out recently. I’m a 17 year old male that has never really inhaled through my mouth but my tongue never sat on the top of my mouth it rested in the middle (like most people that speak a similar language to me). I noticed that within 4 weeks of hardmewing my face changed drastically, my chin was really receeded but my face was fairly symmetrical, due to still breathing through my nose. My chin has came out much more. What i noticed though is that my face is a bit asymmetrical, which originally it wasn’t but one day i noticed it was, and i don’t blame it on mewing but i know it was caused by it since one day i fell asleep in bad posture with i believe the tongue possibly only on one side of my mouth. Fast forward, i’d like to know how i can correct the asymmetry with mewing or on which side to push on. The left eye is fairly higher than the right and the tip of my nose has became crooked facing to the right. I’d like to know how i can correct this asymmetry by which side i should push on, so i help someone may be able to tell me in simple words as all the research i’ve done it’s been difficult for me to determine which side i should put pressure on :). Another statement i’d like to make is that on the top teeth, i had the left side canine growing in my gum, it was much upper but mewing has made room for it and its nearly in but still does’t fit properly, so that could be a cause of my asymmetry. I will be getting braces to straighten that tooth, but since i never really mouthbreathed my teeth grew fairly straight and i noticed moving made most of my teeth straighter. Can someone just help me in telling which side i am meant to put pressure on to fix my asymmetry because the right side of my face is droopy or lower than the left, noticeable by the eye. Chances could be that since that tooth doesnt fit i need to put more pressure on the left side?
Maybe what I will say is nonsense, but if the asymetry apeared after sleeping on one side, have you tried sleeping on the other side? If you tried and it didn't change anything then the problem wouldn't be that.
Yo

Yes it was nonsense i think so as well, because i saw an old photo of me from 2 years ago and i had fairly a bit of facial symmetry but mewing has fixed most of it. Though i did notice when i slept like that it messed with my tongue always sitting in the middle and it took a while to get it back in the middle :). Though i was wondering how to fix the facial asymmetry if you have any clue how to?
