I remember seeing this case of this woman in her early 30s who did myofunctional therapy. She clearly got maxillary movement but what proveS that most to me is how her inner eyelid changed.

You can see in the before it’s almost being pulled out and downwards by her nose and in the after its not. It’s pushed up with the added eye support.

My eyes have lost support due to maxillary recession and I’ve noticed the opposite effect happening to me with the addition of more sensitive and irritated eyes a lot like Achilles mentioned in one of his posts.

Her eye support increased from what I can see. Was a side profile before and after pic available? Also, did she achieve maxillary rotation?

And what do you mean by the opposite effect? Did your eye support decrease further after mewing?

@azrael

I haven’t seen a side profile. From the eyelid change I mention I believe she did achieve rotation because my maxilla has rotated CW over the past three years due to bad posture. My eyes used to look like her after pic but now they look like her before. This was 3 years ago. My cheekbones were higher, eyes better supported and neck much better. I now have bad neck pain.

My dorsal hump is also worse and chin set further back. I was not mewing to my knowledge but I did let my posture go which I think caused it. I’ve been mewing since October in hopes of reversal, starting ALF soon as well.

 A palate expander should help with that.

 The before and after photos always seem to show growth in that region, as well as an increase in overall facial symmetry. The eyes will move until they're level with each other for example.
