I recently found out I have a flat back like in this picture

I was wondering how much height I could potentially gain if I fix this. Right now I am 184 cm (a little under 6'.05) tall. Do you think I could reach 6'1-6'2 height if I fix this or am I being delusional? Anyone have any similar stories of them gaining a bit of height from flat back correction?

Your flat back posture is comprised of two parts. The vertebrae in the lower lumber area are stacked in a straight line. They need to be bent inward a little to reintroduce the natural curve. This actually might reduce your height a little.

The vertebrae in the upper thoracic area are over bending forward and downward. They need to be pulled back and upward. This part will give you extra height.

Just how much will you gain is hard to say but I would say 1cm (.5") is within reasonable expectations. If you want to test this, do all the stretches and strengthening exercise for this condition and then in your full flexibility stand with a correct posture as high as you can and measure your new height.

Whatever additional height gain you get from that measurement divide it by 2 and that should give you your potential gain. So if you measure 186 , your gain is 2cm. Divide it by 2 and you get 1cm.

That's just an experiment that I devised to try to answer this kind of question.
