Hi everyone, first post. I'm turning 20 next month and recently discovered orthotropics and mewing , because I wondered why my chin and upper lip look so bad. I've been mewing for a few days now on and off, but had to take a break because my tongue just doesn't fit right between my teeth, my palate is too short apparently. I suspect I have a deep bite, I've already made an appointment with an orthodontist. I'll post some pictures of my profile and from the front, notice my protruding upper lip. I'm really unhappy with my current look, there must be something wrong. Note that the 2 last pictures show what I look like if I move my jaw forwards, basically like a different person. Appreciate your input.
Maybe your upper lip is ahead of your lower one but honestly I don't think any form of posture correction will ever make that change to an extreme you want. Your chin projection looks healthy. Maybe the upper lip won't project as much with work but you won't develop a brachyfacial profile.
No, there must be something wrong. You see my tongue is way too long for my palate, I have tried every position and I end up either having the tip between my teeth or only the tip up since there simply isn't enough space. I have an overbite and suspect that is part of the reason. Honestly what am I supposed to do if even mewing isn't possible?
