I'm not interested in going to the gym. I have found out that a thin or thick neck causes sleep apnea, because the throat collapses. I heard this from Doctor Mike. And I was wondering how can I treat this, without going to the gym.

Well your first step should be to get your facts straight with regards to whether a thin or a thick neck causes sleep apnea. Which is it, because above in the 2nd sentence you seem to suggest both (although your post title suggests otherwise)? Are you saying that both an excessively thin and an excessively thick neck cause the apnea?

Assuming that you mean a that a thick neck reduces sleep apnea, I guess you'd have to find out what exactly it is about a thick neck which helps. Is it the actual muscles in the neck? Because usually the difference between a thin and thick neck is muscle development. What exactly about having more muscles on the outside of your neck would help prevent it?

The neck muscles are responsive to training and you can make gains for sure (neck curls, neck flexion, neck extensions), just start slowly and work your way up as you don't want any strains.

As long you're following an optimal progression path, you won't develop sleep apnea.
