How much forward Maxilla development is possible in an adult?

From what I can gather, in adults the mid-palate suture does not fuse and there should be no issue in having it expand all the way to where it was supposed to be.

But can the maxilla be moved forward the same way or does it end up fusing? Will widening the palate end up pushing the maxilla forwards as well?

I've ordered a palate expander and am still waiting on it to arrive. It can push sideways and forward, I will aim for 1mm per week forward but need advice for the forward push because nobody online seems to be talking about how to do it/

There is another suture at the front of the maxilla. From one canine tooth the the other, maybe you can even feel the ridge with your tongue. Since sagittal appliances are used by dentists that must mean that you can push the front of the maxilla forward if the arch isn't developed in that direction. I believe I have this issue.

This isn't actually moving the maxilla though, but rather growing part of it forward. Maybe it will move in response to expansion? If not try facepulling.

That ridge is right about where the Y-expanders meet the front teeth to push forward. I'm not expanding it yet I want to make it wider first, I'll let you know if moving it forward works too.

Why don't you buy an active plate, and then finish the job with the Y-Expander.

I think my front teeth all developed properly, the front of my tongue nests perfectly in the arch around these teeth but the back teeth are collapsed in. Front of my tongue fits properly but the back 2/3 has always sat downward because there's no space.

This study right here says expanding the palate width will also move maxilla forward. So I haven't touched the front of the Y expander I'm just slowly expanding the back by keeping the thing in there an night

Also it's expensive I don't want to plan on spending on this twice. Some people are trying to get these expanders made cheaper if they do that then I'll buy as many as necessary

My intermolar width has gone from 38 mm to 44 mm so definitely possible considering I started when I was 31. The suture definitely doesn't fuse or else this would have been impossible.

Is that gain in intermolar width only from mewing?  Also what’s your second molar width?

Just mewing in terms of oral posture. No appliances or manmade equipment. Just tongue and head posture. I made a thread on it explaining my other aspects of my routine but none of it involved anything like an appliance as I am too broke for that at the moment.
