You Always hear About the great successful stories of People which got palate extension devices etc.
But the Question is: How is possible as a small average guy whos not Living in a big city to get such a devices?
The answer is simple: Impossible
Im having a Appointment in 4 weeks at my local orthodontist, and im already pissed because i know that he probably never heard About mewing and how a proper tongue posture and that palate Extension along with facepulling can lead to a more aesthetic face
If i gonna speak About that with him he will surely call me crazy
The dumbest Thing is that i Need a referral from my Dentist to visit him, and my teeth is Pretty bad, ive already have at least 4 tooths (2 of them are almost only holes with only small bits of teeth left) which are so badly damaged that they MUST be pulled
What should i do? My 2 brooken tooths should be already pulled (my last visit at the Dentist was 1 year ago)
Should i do it? Does it will cause jaw atrophy so that my jaw will become even more narrow and undefined? Could it even be possible that i already have a jaw atrophy?
Ive saw Pictures of Johnny depp before and after he got his tooths extracted, it Looks really bad.
If your teeth are rotting then they have to be pulled, you should have taken better care of your teeth. You don't really need any devices to start mewing all you need is your tongue and some patients. Some one has already said you are still able to mew while having teeth extracted, but I've read of some people who got dental implants and where able to mew just fine if you're unable to mew while having teeth extracted for whatever reason.
You should try to explain to your orthodontist about mewing, you might change his/her entire view point on his practice if he's open minded. There are guides that can help you to start mewing(good oral/body posture) on this site so you don't have to buy anything. Best of luck to you
I would get teeth extracted if they need to be pulled but I wouldn't get the gaps closed since that will narrow your arch and make breathing much harder.
I got two premolar extractions on my lower arch and I still think this messed with my facial harmony since I personally feel it made my mandible much smaller
Where do you live? Mass e-mail orthodontists in your town and adjacent towns (especially wealthier areas) and see if you can get any hits. Be forewarned that most are not at all interested in orthotropics so they will not have a clue what you are talking about or be dismissive of its utility in adult patients, so don’t even mention it. However, there are many orthos who specialize in dentofacial orthopedics, which seems to be what you are after since you mentioned palatal expansion.
Be sure to research possible courses of treatment, any appliances you are interested in using, and include information in regards to them in your e-mail, as well as an inquiry to the ortho’s experience utilizing them.
