Hi guys, I'm a 31 year old man. Is it possible that there is no non-surgical solution to solve my problem?
I have a class II skeletal malocclusion with a deep bite in which, when the molars touch, the upper incisors completely cover the lower teeth.
I would at least like my lower jaw to advance a few millimeters and my teeth to be straighter, since my upper teeth are tilted backward, but traditional dentists seem to leave me no chance, And I can't believe that there isn't a device that can at least improve the function of my mouth.
Thank you very much to anyone who decides to answer me.
Non surgically, there's no proven method yet that will definitely help your situation.
Using Whole Body Breathing, it's possible some postural change in the jaw occurs to alleviate this slightly, and over time (fingers crossed) maybe that can compound into larger changes.
We're still trying to figure out a very provable way of getting large changes, but if the case is such that even traditional dentists/ortho work cannot result in alignment than that is many milimeters of change required.
What is Whole Body Breathing?
