Bought and read "Dental Diet" finally.  It basically said to eat different parts of animals and different veggies, increase fiber and decrease sugar, get outside to get vitamin D, don't stress about cholesterol/saturated fats because fats work together.  That was the most eye-opening...his view on fats.  Dr. Nemechek and he are not in complete agreement here.  He includes a lot here:

And as I've looked further...I found this:

https://honey-guide.com/2014/03/10/menaquinones-k2-and-phylloquinone-k1-content-of-animal-products-and-fermented-foods/

MK-4 puts stuff into the bones.  Dr. Lin recommends different types, including MK-4 which is animal-based.  MK-4 is not vegan friendly.  Higher sources include eggs (including yolk), butter (pasture raised), liver (especially poultry) & cheese.   After all, cheese is fermented and he loves that along with other fermented foods: fresh sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha, etc.  Fasting apparently increases the bacterial diversity in the gut.  Who knew?

We used to eat all the parts of animals and now are grossed out and told to avoid high fat foods.  Sure, Crisco was not great, but Dr. Lin does make a very interesting and compelling argument (you can almost hear him getting really emotional about it in his writings)...about LDL/HDL, all that.  He was really big on the fats working together to deliver stuff through our bodies.  See the link above for his favorite fats.  Basically, animal fats and stuff are where you're getting your K-2 (previously unknown and labeled activator X by Weston Price).  K-2 has caused my hairloss to reverse.  I took as small amount through a supplement.  It CAN be overdone and cause heart to stop, muscle tightness, problems.  That's why I like natural sourcing.  In fact, Dr. Lin likes.. https://www.corganic.com/products/ghee/#59833245636b5   As mentioned, it is the foundation for the Ayurveda.

Ayurveda, the ancient medical science of India, recognizes ghee as an essential part of a balanced diet, and considers it to be the best fat one can eat.  There's an awesome gal on YouTube whose mom is an Ayurveda practitioner.  She teaches how to make the ghee used for Ayurveda here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOKAs2Xp06c   Judy is awesome.  However, you can just eat the butter if you want.  However, some cannot handle the casein and lactose.  Costco has a good supply of pasture-raised (not the same thing as grass-fed) butter from Ireland.  It's in the green packaging and a little pricey.

As an interesting side-note, as a baby/toddler...my parents fed me a lot of fried liver and onions.  I have seen organ meats at the health food store before and the health food workers (some of the smartest) have interesting ideas.  I recall being grossed out to know that the Popeye's Chicken is cooked in beef fat, like Mc. Donald's french fries long ago.  She seemed interested in eating there, talking about the benefits of animal fats.  I think if they were pasture raised, maybe.  LOL   Just gross to think about...but there is a back-lash on much of this stuff.  Now...to be clear, trans fat was not a great creation.  However, I do see that Dr. Lin is more interested in natural fats...things that we used to have long ago.  He does include avocado oil, where Dr. Nemecheck is meh/uncertain.  Both like grass-fed butter, tropical oils (coconut & palm) and olive oil...however, olive oil is not meant to be cooked with at high temperatures.  Ghee is one of the best ways to go.  In fact, I believe that the treatments of Ayurveda through foods are actually designed to shape palates.   Vata, Pitta & Kapha classifications have their own diets that I believe do reshape palates appropriately.  This is not known or believed to be the case, even by those who are in Ayurveda and know about Mewing.  Judy, herself, doesn't think so and she has tried Mewing.  However, I can make a very compelling argument for it...from the face shape of the different dosha classifications, to the blood pressure, to nails, to body type, to temperament, to the eye shape...it makes sense.  Many who are drawn to Mewing have a Vata dosha (that's your typical John Mew face).  Thin face, high palate.  Yes - they even look at the eyes...which was one of the give-aways of the connection.  So, that dosha has a very particular diet.  The diet has more cooked foods (which don't lift the palate as much, but smoosh it out).  That way, they can get to a better palatal shape and balance out their dosha state.
