I was watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAroNsMiyc8 and wondered if it´s a good idea to keep some air trapped in between your teeth and cheeks while mewing. Would that allow for a faster expansion of the arch by reducing inward pressure from the cheeks on the teeth or would that only make the teeth tip outwards?
Teeth sit in the balance between the tongue and cheeks, this is why if given enough space teeth will naturally become straight. I don't think keeping air between the cheeks is practical or necessary. Might it lead to faster expansion? Possibly, however, the pressure from the cheeks are important, it's the relationship between the tongue and cheeks that keeps the teeth aligned and straight.
idk man, but probly wouldn't matter a lot to make it a game changer
