Okay... So my face is looking pretty awesome.  I overdid "Mewing" so my cheeks were a little nuts.  Then I pushed them back with the palms of my hands.  Just a little pressure for about 30 seconds... a day or few apart.  I'm LOVING my face.  I'm honestly a little embarrassed about how awesome I look.  LOL

I did notice that after pushing my cheeks back... that my right one behaved more than my left.  Pushing on my left cheek alone seemed to cause a little mide-line shift with my upper teeth.  I personally only appy light pressure and not for long - just 15 seconds or so.  I then wait for a few days and see what happens.  This last time (last night) I had to push my left one in a little bit while AT THE SAME TIME I pushed out from within my upper left side of maxilla so that my teeth wouldn't continue to be going in the wrong direction (my right arch is bigger than my left and there seems to have been a little mid-line shift to the right).

UPDATE: the more I know... the more I realize that I don't know.  My tmj are bothering me.  Not a good idea to try to physically manipulate the face.

That’s great! How long have you been doing it? Any progress pics?

I do, but let me just say this... I wish I hadn't ever gotten involved in "Mewing" for my sake.

My face was a little long, but not bad.  I had perfect teeth & wanted to maintain.  I should have just gotten retainers and been good.  As I age, I'm sure that my face will appear wider, so having a slightly long face isn't terrible.

I pushed up my tongue and got some cheek bones... I also tried to move my lower jaw forward to open my airway more.  I realized this was a mistake (face looked weird with chin out) and tried to put it back where it was.  I had clenched to form the old bite pattern (literally, I didn't do much at all - maybe 30 seconds, but it was a bad idea!).  I got a slight full-length open bite.  Also, I got curve of spee from all this.  I don't like my teeth as much, to be honest.  I will have to pay thousands of dollars to fix my teeth and I just don't have the money for that now.  I did start pulling on individual teeth... like trying to move down my incisors that got pushed up.  I don't know if it's working or not... but I had a thought...

If I overdid Mewing, then maybe part of the reason I have such an open bite is because my cheeks migrated north.  That's what I thought, and I do believe there's some truth to it.  I'm almost 40, by the way.  It is odd that I do seem to respond so well to changes in bone.  I don't know why that is?  Maybe because I've been vitamin D deficient and also seem to have had hair loss from K-2 mk7 deficiency.  When I added that (in tiny amounts - about 1/5 of SuperiorSource K02 100 mcg sublingual a day), I did grow back my receeding hair.  I'm super sensitive to medications... and if I overdo K-2, I get tightness in my chest or muscles used repetatively.  That's just me.  I cannot speak for other bodies.  Mine is kind of weird.  I found I had a vit-d2 level of 0 last year.  My overall vitamin D was good, but my D2 was not detectable.  Okay... so I can't post this wihout an accompanying photo.  I'll get a photo... it will take a while, because I have to get the right camera.

"As I age, I'm sure that my face will appear wider" - how so? I can't imagine how anyone's face would appear wider as they age unless it was through putting weight on. In the absence of any widening effect from fat, I should think faces tend to look longer as they age because of the lengthening of the philtrum. Mine has lengthened noticeably since I was 20 and it happens to everyone. The upper lip begins to sag. I guess it can always be corrected with a lip lift, but there's no getting away from the fact that a longer philtrum contributes to the face looking longer (even if it isn't longer in total length).

Yep - putting on weight... and possibly as the chin advances the face may look more squished.
