I had a surgery to enlarge my upper- and lower jaw 1,5 years ago but unfortunately the jaws looks still kind of small/soft and especially the upper jaw seems to be to narrow, for example there seems to be not quite enough room for my tongue, the cheekbones are flat and in the profile the mandible looks underdeveloped.
I still have titanium plates and screws in the jaw, although the bone should be healed by now.
Will those metal screws in the jaw prevent my progress or is a bone growth through mewing still possible?
Please give me your opinion! Thank you
I'm in the same situation. I don't know, but I guess mewing still works. The titanium plates only connect the independent bones, like the maxilla. Thus, I suppose the whole maxilla can still be moved forwards and upwards. I also think the bone aroundt the screws and plates can change. Just my five cents. But I would rather not have those ****** plates.
Thank you so much, I hope this is the case.. I can‘t have them removed in the next few years (moving abroad), still it is hard to imagine that the bone could naturally expand with these screws :/
May I ask, do you practice mewing and did u notice any progress so far?
Me I just recently discovered this site
Actually I would also like to try this technique called „face pulling“ which seems to work for some ppl but I am afraid it could damage something as the screws are there
You're welcome. I've been mewing for just a month, so a little early to tell. Probably going to try face pulling, too.
