Hello this is my first post here and I hope I bring knowledge for those who need it and get some in return.

I had scoliosis for 4 years now it had been relatively stable I'm 19 now and I experience little back pain few times a year, now the reason I started this research isn't because of pain it's because I'm trying to correct it, because tired of going to the doctors telling me it's mild no need to worry, getting scammed into buying a brace ( a low quality one that only addressed my upper curve which resulted in a an increase in lower curve ) and what do you know the internet is filled with a lot of bullshit about how few normal yoga poses can fix this but there are gems of info as well, so enough of me rambling and let me share what I discovered

  • The Root Cause is still unknown or is it? Several theories are there but 2 good ones are tight spinal cord/ nerves which was proven to be a cause of some scoliosis or bad posture, for years I have been sitting and sleeping on one side and a theory suggest the body is aadapting to that it's making things easier for you, so fixing these imbalances are a must
  • Concave must be stretched and the convex as well, while the Concave is like a permanent flexed muscle that needs stretching and convex is surprisingly tight as well and only stretching one of the sides result on the other tightening as well, so do not neglect any side even if it needs much less attention
  • A study proved that normal exercises and yoga and balance have a success rate of 8% of reducing the curve yep it's carp but active self corrections have a success rate of a whopping 70% , exercises are more about stability the curve never getting worse, but self correction targets the problem itself
  • From your skull to your toes everything is misaligned, a lot of methods forget a whole body Approach, yes focus on the spine the most but you should work on every single part of your body
  • Fun fact if you have Scoliosis you can't walk on a straight line with your eyes closed, there will be neuromuscular imbalances, currently contacting the clinic with the discovery since all clinics like keeping their methods a secret
  • Most helpful and whole body Approaches are far away but there are online courses that have a lot of helpful information and sadly one of them is 1000$, its not a scam it's just overpriced, as I said most scoliosis treatments and methods are a secret, you have to visit them and pay them to help you personally
  • Not everyone can reduce their curves, okay this is the harsh truth, search "Scoliosis Wedged vertebrate" having scoliosis for a long time can cause deformities, unreversable deformities the earlier you correct it the better

Right now I'm collecting every single thing on the treatments from misaligned eye movement to toes being misaligned, I want to fix this I don't want to share the self corrections I have right now because it's no where near full treatment, I wanna see what you guys think about what I found so far and if you have discoveries as well

I have a family member who has scoliosis so the topic has been of interest to my however I'm researching other topics right now. Studies below can be a place to start for someone ready to dig in.

I would say if you choose to attack the issue from top down/bottom up approach you will spend less time troubleshooting. So I would think of it in two ways, both the top and bottom of the entire body as in head and foot posture. As well as top and bottom of the spine, so pelvis and neck(atlas bone is a good place to dig deeper into). All in effort to create knock on effects through the kinetic chain.

note. This is interesting however it's argued to be of less importance due to rats having four legs and that affect how the spine articulates.

I don’t have scoliosis- but I did have poor posture. Five months into palate expansion it resolved itself.

It was a small, oh wow, moment. I was walking around at work, and I realized that I was holding myself very upright. It also felt comfortable.

I have scoliosis and I also have kyphosis. I am 21 now.

I've been mewing for 1.5 y and I can say that I fixed a lot of kyphosis. I still have issues but if I give it some time, like another year or so, I think it will completely be fixed.

As for scoliosis, I feel like it is a bit of a tough problem.

Last time I was at the checkup (and that was like 4 years ago)  I had a 21°curve on the upper back and like 14° on the lower back.

I am trying to focus on that one side of the palate more but I feel everyrhing got misaligned so much(and not just in the face) that I just can't handle the work.

I will give it another year before visiting the doctor again.
