Hi,

I'm 30...

I thought I had bimax protrusion but latelly after seeing Mew videos and some developments into the problem I think my maxilla is ok, I've been wondering if I have only prognatism...

https://ibb.co/album/eo2w5a?sort=date_asc&page=1¶ms_hidden%5Blist%5D=images¶ms_hidden%5Bfrom%5D=album¶ms_hidden%5Balbumid%5D=eo2w5a

Sorry about the bad skin and yellow teeth, working on that...

The devlopments, latelly, in the past two months (I dont know if it was there before or not, I think it was but because now I'm trying to keep my mouth closed more time and it became more evident), I've been having a situation where my jaw temporarly comes forward giving me prognatism and I cannot close my mouth because the teeth dont match each other, I think this is the first symptom of TMJ... this could last days or hours...

I discovered in the last few day that to move it back I have to look to the ceiling for a few minutes...

I think my jaw is too much back when I close my mouth and this is causing strain, but if I push forward the lower incisors touch the upper incisors and cannot close my mouth

I think this protrusion is making me push the whole jaw back so I can archieve oclusion...

My jaw feels more confortable and less strained when my lower teeth are slightly more forward than the upper teeth.

Thanks for your help!

Prognathism can mean a lot of things. Heck most healthy jaws should have a degree of positive inclination anyway to allow the mandible to move forward. Prognathism is usually measured by how much the teeth project forward but yours seem normal. If anything you may just have a small mandible.

Also looks like you may have an overactive mentalis muscle. Try and pull your chin down and away from your face.

What is your intermolar width?
