Hello everyone,

Approximately at 46:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xp61mKhFNcU&t=2949s Prof. John Mew starts to talk about deep bite situation for adults and what can be done.

What I cant understand in such case, how the upper and lower molars will regain normal bite if after expanding upper incisors to the front lower jaw will have space to move a little bit in front to a new position?

I understand that when for example you expand maxila lateraly to improve tonque space, after that you could expand lower jaw also, to match upper jaw and normal bite is regained, But how in situations when due to improved space in upper jaw lower jaw moves forward. As only upper front teeth are moved forward, that means upper molars are left in the same place as before, but lower jaw is moved as a one unit in front a little and lower molars should lose bite with upper molars.

Maybe someone understand this and could explain?
