I feel that the posture of my right hand holding the mouse while using the computer has a significant relationship with the underdevelopment and deviation of my right jaw.
During the past few years, amid the pandemic, I had just removed my retainer. I often used the computer, did not exercise, and my elbow was frequently in a fixed forward position with my hand holding the mouse on the desk. My posture while using the computer was abnormal. Additionally, I noticed that when I sleep, my body unconsciously leans to the right side.
After maintaining this for a long time, I began to experience problems with breathing through my right nostril, and my teeth and jaw became misaligned. Now, I feel difficulty breathing no matter what I do.
Today, I accidentally discovered that when I hold the mouse with my left hand and compare it to my previous posture of holding it with my right, it is completely symmetrical, and my right nasal congestion seems relieved. Moreover, when I press down with my right hand, I can hear bubbling sounds in my right ear! It feels like there's more airflow passing through my right nostril along with the bubbling sounds.
I examined my cranial CBCT, and it showed twists in all three dimensions.
I speculate that the forward-leaning position of my right elbow while holding the mouse has caused tension in the right-side muscles, leading to the movement of my jaw and thus the movement of my teeth, and consequently a reduction in the size of the right nasal cavity. I want to rebalance the muscles on both sides through specific asymmetric exercises to counteract the previous asymmetry, and thereafter, the upper jaw can balance better.
Does anyone share my perspective? What specific movements and exercises should I perform to counteract the changes caused by my previous posture of right elbow forward while holding the mouse and the right-side lying position?
I do not believe that general yoga or swimming is the best because they are too symmetrical, lack specificity, and do not target any specific twisted muscles. They might alleviate symptoms but cannot reverse them. The movements that can reverse these effects should be asymmetric.
