Alright so the basic information
-Had Invisalign at 17, had them in for about a year. Had wisdom teeth extracted a few months prior to that. I *believe* (not 100% certain) the surgeon also said I had a 5th wisdom tooth on my crowded side on the right front palate.
-22 almost 23 right now, found out about mewing when I was about 20 maybe 21. Been doing it since though I'm not sure how correctly.
-I have been doing mastic gum chewing in the past and now falim gum chewing recently. Also been tongue chewing with said Falim gum for about a week.
So my real problem is the regular question of Mewing while wearing the plastic retainers at night. I don't know if the retainers are holding me back but I did measure my intermolar width at the second to last molars and it came up right below 1.5 inches (it was the same width before invisalign, by measuring the old retainers.) I have watched Mike Mew's video on this and he said he recommends getting a front bonded retainer for "The first 4 teeth or so." However, my teeth that were really crowded were the right canine and right lateral incisor as shown in the photos. If I were to get the front retainer as he says, would this interfere with my right canine that shifted upwards?
Any help is appreciated!
The following pictures are me at the beginning of Invisalign, just to show the right canine that I want to avoid shifting back while I'm mewing.
Here's the video where he describes the permanent retainer for the first 4 teeth.
