A single bow is only $250! That's not that bad at all imo. Maybe you clicked on the 10pack?

Regular reverse pull is like $25 though haha. I’d have to see it in action before I dropped that much on it, but unfortunately theres not many pics.

This type of anchorage system was discussed on the BTM forum at some point. I remember watching a youtube video about it. I'll see if I can find the thread.

I'm not finding it on BTM. Maybe I read about it in the Claimingpower comments section. Does anyone else remember this?

In the video I saw of this device, there is a ball joint which affixes the bow to the chest so that it can tilt as you move your head.

Thanks, that gives a good idea of the mechanics! In the video I saw, I think the plastic was a green color rather than white, but this gives you the same perspective for how it works.

No, the video I saw had the full bow connecting to the chest like the first two videos you posted, not just the arm cantilevered off the forehead. But it doesn't matter, these videos are just as illustrative. There's a ball joint on the chest, which allows side to side movement and the anchorage point can slide up and down the bow so that it maintains a relatively constant radius from the teeth no matter how the patient turns their head.

OK, I was wrong. It wasn't green it was black. The second video you posted (  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CcpIqURO3Y  ) is the one I was remembering, it's just that the thumbnail for that video had the child with the black plastic bow who appears around the 2:37 mark. I also realized that I first came across this video on the Reverse Dental blog (see below) which was linked on this BTM thread (  http://breakthematrix.createaforum.com/therapies/mike-mew-did-it-27yof-change-before-and-after ). You weren't using this kind of protraction framework, were you? You wrote on the BTM thread linked above that you were using a Delaire facemask.

For both plates, I have been wearing a Delaire facemask at night with elastics attached to the back molar clasp of the plate. This was to 'anchor' the molars while the bicuspid expander moved the incisors/canines forward, and now to apply general protraction forces.
