An orthodontist in the know had explained to me from my perplexed questioning on airway and scoliosis. The reply: If you have poor airway, you lean forward to breathe. This poor positioning puts strain on spine. An airway-focused intervention may be useful.
In my studies; however, I see that posture doesn't "cause" Scoliosis. So... it makes me wonder if it can aggrivate or cause it toward those susceptable.
I think there's some unpublished studies in europe showing releasing a tongue tie resolved scoliosis. Then there's the work from the guy in Italy, the Starecta Method. I think the link between postural dysfunction on the craniofacial structures is primarily airway, but also involves the Trigeminal system and orthopedic of the jaws influencing cervical. Theoretically, early intervention to guide and correct growth could prevent scoliosis whose origin involves those factors. How much scoliosis has it etiology in the face/airway isn't something I'd care to comment, other than, it's certainly possible and very early evidence suggests orthodontia can be efficacious in certain circumstances.

... it is contended that braces caused Scoliosis. Braces were not the culprit, it appears. They got retractive headgear. See righttogrow.org on why retrative headgear pulls into airway. With the newly restricted airway, the teeth are aligned, but not the spine.

Could you send me more info for these studies? I have a tongue tie and if getting that released could resolve my slight scoliosis that would be awesome
