Can you still make progress with braces? Can mewing with braces make your face worse?
I still have a lot of growth left, considering I'm 14. My fear is that if I keep my braces on, I will miss out a lot of potential growth. I'm supposed to keep my braces on for minimum of another year, possibly longer. Please share your experiences and advice on what I should do. Thank you for your help!

I've heard complaints of this, yes. A boy was on here before... (will have to look for his thread)... who was very upset about his growing cheekbones. He was combining Mewing and braces and said it seemed like Mewing was on steroids. He was asking for advice on how to not get bigger cheeks (even family noticed that he looked much fuller)... and some people here just said to keep Mewing. Apparently, Mewing is a catch-all for attraction... LOL But it's not. Because... the thing is... If Mewing is creating a problem... Keeping Mewing will not fix that. So I had to express to him the connection. Basically, if you're ugly (in whatever way possible)... Mewing will fix all your problems... even the problems it creates. I'm so over it.
Here's the deal... If you mess around with stuff during ortho treatment, it can greatly throw off what your ortho is trying to accomplish. I would seriously see what your ortho has to offer... and trust that they know what they're doing.

I don't have a orthotropic doctor anywhere nearby, closest one is over 6 hours away
