If you think you have tongue posture down and you are dedicated to strengthening your tongue everyday then sure. If you have good habits, remove retainer, otherwise you could actually get worse and you are better off with it on.

Idk why bottom incisor retainers would affect maxillary growth.

Do NOT stop retainer wear unless you are extremely confident your tongue strength, endurance, and posture is perfect. Otherwise you risk your arch collapsing inwards which happened to me. This is especially true for the upper retainers, but since you mentioned yours is lower I am not sure for them.

When for many years I had a retainer in the same place I think it altered the positioning and movement of my tongue. It tended to be held back from the retainer.  It also maintained the torsion that orthodontic treatment had put on my jaw. It had fallen off long before I started  mewing. However, my guess is it would inhibit the teeth of the mandible from moving. That is what it is meant to do. Sometimes I think I am not aiming for a look or even a dimension for my teeth but rather a state of mobility in them, such that they will maintain position by easy unintended adjustments from the tongue.

I was thinking more of its effect on the mandible. Perhaps the maxilla grows up and forwards, and the mandible is left behind, making no progress. Dont think this is true though as I have seen improvements in my jawline and chin since I started mewing in May. I am just speculating.
