I've heard a lot of non-sense about mewing on the internet.claims like "mewing can shorten your mid-face and make your face more compact" or "mewing can fix a deviated septum" or that it can change your eye shape..some people are just born with narrower faces and smaller heads while others with more compact faces and bigger heads,some people are born with smaller jaws and others with bigger jaws etc..
just like some people are born taller with bigger hands and others shorter with smaller hands and no mewing or any other technique is going to change that..
the only thing mewing can do is improve your breathing and barely improve your upper/lower jaw position and even that is questionable..
even mike mew is starting to backtrack on some of his claims,6 years ago he said in a Q & A that you can improve ramus growth with hard work and time and in a more recent Q & A he's contradicting himself saying that mandible length is genetic..
i'm not saying that you shouldn't mew because you should for health reasons,just don't expect any significant aesthetic changes.
No one really knows what mewing can do. No one really knows what's the right way to mew. Mewing will forever be underground. All you can do is try your best and mew in the way you deem to be right. That's it. You can look at every result pic ever posted and still not be sure that mewing works. People on this forum dedicated years of their life to mewing and the results they got are so unnoticeable they can be attributed to photo error.
Your right for saying don't expect significant aesthetic changes, because based on the evidence out there, it won't happen.
Edit: Yes some people might of got significant aesthetic changes, but as this forum proved, the chance of those changes happening to you, are next to impossible.
