In exercising the masseters, is overall strength of the muscle more beneficial to sustainable change than the hypertrophy we often see? With exercising other muscle groups, there are obviously programs catered to increase strength (higher weight, lower reps) and programs to induce hypertrophy (lower weight, higher reps). I have seen many faces negatively impacted by masseter hypertrophy along with TMJ caused by chewing for an extended period of time. My thought is that using Jawliner or a similar product in hard quick bites would be more beneficial than simply chewing for an extended period of time. I believe that the change in strength in the muscle is better than size but would like further input and perhaps a routine using the Jawliner. Thanks
