I chew a lot of gum. The problem is that my temporalis, the muscles in the temples and near the eye swell and it looks bad. I can imagine that this muscle on each side will grow because of the heavy chewing. Why is it like this for me? Maybe i got TMJ problems? Because the same thing occurs when I eat mels that are ” hard food”.

How do you chew? With your mouth open and full range of motion, or with your lips sealed? I don't think temporalis hypertrophy is necessarily a bad thing and from what I understand it correlates with masseter hypertrophy.

I chew with my mouth closed. But it's looks so strange directly after I chew and maybe for 5 minutes. I also think the temporalis got bigger because of the gum chewing. I dont think it's attractive. But I still want my jaw to become more prominent tho.

Try open mouth chewing. I had the same issues until I made the switch.

There's a lot to say about it, but first just search this website for the phrase 'open mouth chewing' and give what you find a read.
