29, Male here.
My IMW is about 42-44. However, my teeth are pretty badly arranged and I definitely have a bite issue, so I'm thinking of using Invisalign to 1) Make them straight, 2) Expand my dental arch. Right now it seems like the right side of my top palate is lower than my left side, so if I close my mouth with my molars touching, my left mandible has to tuck in, my jaw is slanted. If I relax my jaw, my right side molars touch, but my left molars do not. Is this considered an open bite?
I'm not sure if I should go for DNA or Invisalign though, the orthodontist I found does provide both. My face is already pretty asymmetrical and I'm afraid DNA would make it worse or I would have no results with the DNA at all and that will be wasted money.
Is Invisalign/traditional orthodontics really as bad as Mike Mew makes it out to be?
I'm not sure exactly what questions to ask, but I just wanted to post here for some opinions/experiences others have had so I don't get misled by the orthodontist when I visit. Are there any questions or things I should bring up to the orthodontist as well?
