what are the pros and cons of a hyrax expander?
I am no doctor , but from what ive gathered its probably the best thing available after screw apliances ( MSE etc ). You gotta wear it 24/7 thou.

yeah, only cons are that it's between the teeth so there is no tongue space so it can be hard while eating or even talking or is it on the palate?
and the teeth splitting from each other but I don't really like MSE or MARPE, SARPE because it is so brutal by like putting some metal into the skull
I actually have 1 installed right now and can answer ur questions if u want. Yes you will talk like if u have a lisp and there's nothing u can do about it. Eating is fine, feels awkward first week , specially if u have the tubes installed like i do. I can actually keep my tongue up there because the expander only takes up like 1/3 to 1/2 of my palate so i can still "glue" the posterior third. My teeth didnt split they only can split if you go very fast, if u expand slowly and semi rapid they will most likely not split, been expanding 2mm/mo with no problems , no tipping.
oh, nice to hear do you maybe also live in the Netherlands? and what is your age?
do you think your palate is eventually is going to split? and do you know the hyrax can drop te palate and does the hyrax only expand the teeth or also skeletal expansion?
