Tongue pushing molars?

So I just started mewing for 2 days now and my mouth definitely feels different (I'm 17 so I hope I can make noticeable changes). I make sure to use the back of my tongue to touch the back of my palate, but when I do this, my tongue pushes strongly against my molars. Is this supposed to happen? My tongue also goes under my top molars so I would bite my tongue if I potentially bit down. Should I be applying a mass amount of force to my palate where my molars are being pushed? or should I apple little force, but enough to keep up the weight of my skull? Even when using less force, I still feel a push against my molars, and my tongue still goes under my molars. I think I just have a big tongue...
