TOO NARROW TO MEW

I got orthodontic treatment when i was 16, and its pulled my forward teeth backwards leading to a very narrow, recessed palate. Due to this, my palate is just too narrow, and small for my entire tongue to fit there. I've mewed for an entire year despite this, but its only led to the back teeth to be pushed further to the sides. What to do? Should I continue mewing until I'm able to get professional orthotropic treatmen, or should I postpone it? But what if my situation gets worse because I'm not mewing? I'm getting the braces off in 2-3 months.

Rotate your head downward with a chin tuck and just focus on placing your tongue on your forward palate and widening it by relaxing it.
