HI!

I know that people and Mew says that you should engage the posterior third as the most important part, but I have had some really big problems with that I close off my airway and I have been doing it for almost a year now. Now instead of doing the posterior third I will try and do the anterior 2/3 and if it feels good then keep it up and slowly using more and more until I at last can use the posterior third.

what are your thought?

btw I start only 30 min. ago and I can already feel it a little in my maxilla a little and mostly in my teeth (I have crowded teeth, mostly in the front part)

I did it by suctioning the tongue to the back of the hard palate and then mostly on the soft palate. This way the soft palate is engaged which is what the posterior third is. It isn't necessarily the part of the tongue that touches it but whether the back of the palate is being under pressure. This will give you lateral expansion which will allow your jaw to come forward.

So place for tongue behind the rugae for this to work.

How do you manage to swallow saliva with the posterior tongue pushing against the soft palate? I fail to swallow saliva when creating a suction against the hard palate. Please provide a description of how you swallow saliva subconsciously.
