this is a very strange case. The square jaw photo is from retraction/ extraction orthodontics in which the retainer was stopped wearing and the relapse was fixed with Invisalign and the lower third changed completely. I think what’s going on is that the Invisalign changed the way the facial muscles were used. Also the palates before were even more narrow and have expanded some with Invisalign. What else could cause this extreme change

Could it be from inactive masseter use? I think Darkindigo said invisalign makes palates more vaulted and people with a vaulted palate tend to have a little more length to their face.

I think so also the orthodontist said they wanted to take pressure off jaw so it seems the muscle atrophied quite a bit
