Ive been practicing basics for a couple of weeks now and managed to train my tongue tip to sit on the roof of my mouth rather than floor. However Im having problems with the next step. My jaw has a severe overbite and is underformed (in part due to a genetic disorder called loeys dietz) at the moment even if i push my jaw as far forwards as i can so my front teeth are touching (this is painful to do)  my overbite is so severe my tongue cannot reach as far foward as it should and is just hitting my upper teeth and gums. Further more in this position due to an extremely high palate it is almost impossible to have my tongue in that position and touching the roof anywhere else. My tongue would have to bend at almost a 90⁰ angle where the frenulum is. As you can imagine doing this for more than a minute at a time is painful (i have misformed jaw joints to top it off so they get sore easily). My question is if I chose to do this in small stages to limit the pain/problems which is most important getting as much of my tongue on the roof even if its not as far forward as is ideal or pushing the tip forward as much as I can. (I am also doing nightly exercises where i can to work my jaw forward/strengthen my tongue/jaw muscles slowly into a better position etc. But arent sure which position I should be aiming for on a daily basis)
