Which teeth to use to develop masseter when chewing hard gum?

Hi guys, I've read several theories about masseter hypertophy, but I wanted to know if any theories are supported by evidence.

Is it true that to develop masseters and shorten the midface you have to chew mainly with front teeth?

Or is it better to chew with all your teeth equally?

u have to use all of ur teeth

incisor frequently but not so much (only use incisors to cut foods otherwise ull get overbite)

canines the 3-4 time a week (to tear food i dont use then tbh)

and pre molars and molar everytime u eat food

btw increasing masseter wont shorten the mid face however the pressure applied from the food when chewing will

if u chew chewy foods like gum, etc u will only strengthen the masseter and wont apply pressure on ur actual bones

however if u chew foods like carrots, walnuts etc i will cause change in the skull

also when chewing make sure ur lower teeth touch ur upper teeth as much as they can and not chew halfway where ur lower teeth are not touching ur upper teeth with each chew

I have a deep bite, so it's complicated for me.

I've already read it, but unfortunately it's quite old and I don't know if the proposed theories are still valid, and no one has posted their experience anymore.

@sceriff i also have it i would recommend incisor biting on carrots
and for the contact between the teeth i would say just touch them as much as they can and hold the clenching position for about 1 second

its not only a theory but it is a pattern of change in the face seen in people that often clench the jaw but make sure u use the temporalis muscle for normal clenching posture and not the masseter because temporalis is the muscle that is usually engaged in the posture of the jaw

and yes it does not have a lot of research but im sure it can significantly affect the bones in the face because if pressure is applied to some bones they tend to grow and im not talking about bone smashing. the growth of bones that i told u is seen everywhere in the body where more pressure is applied and clenching the jaw has the same effect which means it should work according to science

So do I have to chew molars for 1 second at a time?

not chewing the molars it is not good ofc

what i meant was when chewing food hold the position when the food is pressed between ur teeth

not only on the molars but also the premolars for around 0.8 - 0.7 seconds

1 second would be alot tbh i do it o.8 - o.7 seconds

btw i will be posting a deep bite correction method around 20 april. i will write what i did to improve my deep bite and ive gotten significant results in 8ish months already but im 16 rn and idk if it will work as fast for older people and it is not smthn i saw on tiktok but instead i created ways myself that are safe however

i will also link the pages and videos that i used to gather info in order to create the technique

a sneak peek would be that i used the tongue posture for getting an openbite (the reverse of deep bite) and applied upwards pressure to the frontal upper palate which is right behind the incisors and also used thumbs to push in upwards instead of pulling it laterally to expand the palate because only expanding the palate does not fix vertical malocclusions and deep bite is one

@sane I'm curious, but I don't think it works for someone in my 30s like me.

@sceriff palatal expansion is possible in adults

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOrwGDqJwa8&ab_channel=Orthotropics

as he said in the vidoe he just fixed his posture and didnt even try to improve his face which means that he also probably didnt get appliances like biobloc and the ALF and yet he still improved significantly over 2 years and he was 27 at the start and 29 later

i am not saying that u will or will not get results as fast as him
what i am trying to say is that u can still prolly improve ur deepbite but a little slower
