When I lean a bit forward with my head, I get a bit defined jawline (side profile). However with correct posture , you force your neck posture into a double chin position. I’m worried that If I keep doing chin tuck, my jaw will look melted with my neck. Is there any truth to this?

No. A lot of women worry about this--they think if they pull the chin in they will look fat. But works opposite to the way you think. It helps if you take a look at a corporate website and look at the headshots of all their many employees, to look at their chin carriage. People who lift the chin tend to look fatter and flatter in the face, with their eyes half closed. People who pull the chin in and down appear to have larger eyes and more defined faces, even if they are actually heavier or generally less attractive.
Look at yourself in the mirror and play with going back and forth--and look at your whole face, not just the chin. You may be self conscious about your jaw and therefore missing the big picture. Maybe even snap selfies if you can! Or ask a friend to compare. Remember you're looking at the whole aspect, not just your chin.
