Yes - I found it as a teaser for upcoming conference on Facebook... https://www.facebook.com/won.moon.5 Won Moon is a handsome dude. Look at that rock climbing picture.
Unfortunately, no details are given... however, in looking at that photo, it looks like a reverse tad? Tads are typically used for pulling the teeth up where there is a gummy smile.
I guess my point is... how many people are told that it is so great to have a high maxilla? I think we need to be looking at beauty differently. Beauty = health, which is not always in line with what some guy said on his YouTube videos. I appreciate that John Mew's face is too long and he's been terribly unhappy about it. However, looking at things in a continuum... there are others on the other end of the spectrum. This is what Bill Hang describes, what is being fixed here and the sort of philosophy that makes a lot of sense. Pushing our maxillas way up high can cut into the airway. It is very scary and even dangerous for Dr. Mew to tell people that to be attractive that they ought to grow forward. You can see that she is breathing better already. The thing is... airway goes all the way from the nose and back down the throat. Having the airway cut into either way ought to be concerning.
Extrusion orthodontics were used
Here is a video about it:
An orthodontic appliance is placed to pull the tooth that has a bone loss around it. This traction will generate bone and gingiva as the tooth is extruded.
Although he may be doing at different way than in the video - hopefully a way that preserves the teeth

Yeah, I don't know. It looks like he'll explain it in that conference. There is definitely something attached to that front portion of the teeth in that x-ray.
Bump for all those coming here from that Maverick guy on YouTube. Yuck!
Mewing can't accomplish what the before pic was. It's not that powerful.
her case is weird to say the least, she has massive forward growth yet recessed cheek bones, but most importantly she is very asymmetric, which was improved. The asymmetry likely caused many of the problems but it is weird that her cheeks are so recessed. The black bars make it hard to properly analyse but there's definitely more going on here than simply having a "too high" maxilla.
I think more than anything, the fact she is more symetric is the reason for much of the improvements

@eddiemoney It sure can. It may not be to that degree, but I see after photos with pale coloration and stuff. The thing is... you can't say what can and can't happen... when it does. Some people have softer bones. You can't just say what can and can't happen. Look at what Mewing has morphed to... chewing gum an hour a day (hard gum) and pushing maxilla with force. This is a joke.
Caveat: super bad mood today. Bad stuff went down today personally.
In first picture she looks like she is lacking teeth. Is that the case?
30 yo, need to expand palate, move maxilla upward and forward, reduce gonial angle.
I would love to get more information on these myself. I don't believe she is, but I cannot say for sure one way or another. I suppose it is possible to get a whole set taken out. The top 4 photos are one person... the bottom 4 photos are another. I'm assuming you meant the woman on top you're not sure about.
Society is a joke these days. Don't blame yourself being in a "bad mood" for what you said up there. You were real. Mewing is a joke right now. People pulling on their maxilla with their finger is a joke. Half of what you see in this forums is retarded. People over exagerate and over analyse everything these days. Inflated egos and people not trusting eachother. Plato for example is a dude that is for sure fucked in the head yet half the people in the forums take his word as the holy grail and the absolute truth. Astro sky beats himself up for jaw gains. Like what the actual fuck. Good information is good information no matter who delivers it tho i get that but.. half of this forum is fucked in the head aswell. People here rather push their fucking palate with fingers and belts rather than making money, living their life and actually visiting orthos and calmly expalining their situation. Orthos don't expand peoples maxilla because they didn't study it and they fear fucking you up even more. It's that simple. People don't trust anyone because they can't even trust themselves. A man that doesn't value himself doesn't value anything or anyone.
It is very scary and even dangerous for Dr. Mew to tell people that to be attractive that they ought to grow forward.
It's largely true in white people(particularly Anglos). When you see a messed up looking Anglo about 95% of the time, they have a short ramus and stunted maxilla growth. Mew's patients are 90+% Anglo so he's suffering from tunnel vision.
But there are limits, because we're looking for overall facial harmony. Most men in southern Africa have strong forward maxilla growth and they look ugly AF. There's a lot more going on than just maxilla+jaw.
If he spent some time working with kids in the Congo, he'd quickly realize that he needed to retard maxilla growth, slightly lengthen the face, and change "ideal posture" to influence the nose to grow narrower instead of broader. Mew's work up to this point is more like "diagnosing and fixing common developmental problems in Anglos". Fairly effective for them. Fairly ineffective for most Sino-Asians, and literally the opposite of what you'd want for a Bantu African.
There is no 100% universal rule. But I image the vast majority of people on this site are suffering from the same issues Mew mostly sees. People suffering from different problems are somewhere else. Mew has a purpose, but it's definitely niche from a global perspective.

Weston Price showed that developmental issues don't just affect Europeans and Brits but also Africans and Polynesians. Everyone on Earth can grow wrong given the environment.
Also, Africans have vertically shorter faces than Europeans (maxilla is vertically shorter on an African) but their mandible size is much smaller. So it evens out, really. African skulls show much weaker bone growth relative to European skulls which are more robust. But to say these bone development differences make Africans "uglier" is debatable, since facial attractiveness is based on facial ratios, not soft/hard tissue development as much.
