Hi, i'm 17 and i've started mewing just five days ago
I was pushing pretty hard the first days but then I realized that it wasn't a good idea and for the next days i felt like i was doing ok with suction hold, neck posture, teeth together, etc...
But today, I tried tongue chewing and the pain I already felt in my upper left teeth (particularly the canine and around) - which had been going on for more than a year (I had all 4 wisdow teeth out in february 2018, braces till summer 2017) -got really worse, and whenever I chew on the left side or try doing suction hold, the pain gets a little more intense.
I was going to take an appointment with my orthodentist anyway to remove my fixation wire (behind the the bottom incisors). I guess i'll ask him to check, but I'd like to know if any of you have experienced something similar before ?
Whoa! Why are you Mewing? If you've had orthodontia and a good smile... Mewing can mess it up. I did. It was stupid. A retainer is as good as gold. I wish I'd been told.

Well my teeth have already moved quite a bit, especially in the area where i feel the pain, my left incisor, the one next to the canine, has moved forward, and the opposite one has moved backward. I felt like mewing would help keeping a large enough space for my teeth not to move even more. I don't want to do hard mewing, I just want to have a nice tongue ponsture as Dr. Mew seems to say that it's the posture everyone should have.
Thanks for the answers tho, i'm definitly going to get it checked cuz it still hurts
