I mean the type you place between your molars, not the ball type you place between your front teeth (like Jawzrsize). So there is no popping out of the socket and just simple straight up and down movements. But the TMJ joint still bears some of the load.
My bite seems a bit misaligned, the right molars fit better than the left. I usually chew with my right molars, my lower jaw will go to the lower right and my left TMJ will pop. I also have some mild tinnitus on the left side which could be related and I hear a sound in my head on the left side when I place my molars together.
