Only when wearing silicone earplugs though which gives an underwater effect and make me hear sounds inside my body, like my heartbeat etc.

Does anyone recognize this phenomenon? The sound is around my TMJ's, like a buzz. What could it be caused by and how could it be resolved? Is it harmful? It's a bit annoying and demotivating. It's on the left side, the side where I also have some mild tinnitus. My bite seems a bit misaligned, the right molars fit better than the left. I usually chew with my right molars, my lower jaw will go to the lower right and my left TMJ will pop.
