Hi everyone. I'm new to all of this. I'm almost 28, already female lol.
I am not sure how to begin mewing. Orthotropics are not a thing in Melbourne, Australia. Not that I'm aware of.
If anybody has a similar situation, could guide me to the right resources, people, I would be grateful.
My issues are:
-Bimaxillary protrusion (small jaws, large teeth, small head in fact with large facial features which disguises long midface)
-Noticable asymmetry since forever (right side of my face is dominant, right mandible is longer, mismatched dental midlines, deviated nose to the left)
-Flat-faced (prominent cheekbones from the side, under eye hollowing which is becoming more prominent in my late 20s with the loss of facial fat)
-Difficulty breathing through nose
I am trying to avoid jaw surgery for many reasons, one being i think my face would look worse (small upper face).
And most definitely avoiding extractions.

MSE + Facemask, Ronald Ead has many videos on MSE.
Or you can go with the slower option that doesn't split the suture, DNA appliance, here's a thread comparing MSE to DNA, you can search up more threads on here on these type of appliances (ALF, DNA, biobloc, schwartz). Most important thing is the provider, don't know of the availability of these appliances in Australia so you'll have to research that yourself, there are probably providers there though. For your bimaxillary protrusion watch out for orthos trying to extract your teeth, it's a common practice to fix bimaxillary protrusion by extracting the premolars and pulling everything back. Bimaxillary protrusion is just the protrusion of the teeth/alveolar bone and not the maxilla itself, if you want to fix it you need to lip seal and get an intra oral vacuum, expansion can help with this by making more room for the tongue thus allowing a stronger suction/intra oral vacuum that can incline the teeth.
Thank you 😀 I'll check these out.
I'm determined not to get extractions.
Do you know anything about Myobrace? Does that expand the jaws or just tip teeth out?
Also, these appliances, how much money are we roughly talking?
Myobrace for adults will just tip the teeth. As for cost, it's similar to braces in that it can range, you're paying for the personalized treatment and not the appliance itself. MSE is 8-15k according to Ronald Ead, functional appliances are 3-9k I've heard, about the same cost as braces.
That's a shame about Myobrace. It's the only treatment I can find in my city.
I guess I'll keep looking.
Thank you 😀
@sinned then what about the jaw. is there any possible way to expand the jaw without surgery. I mean if one only expand the maxilla jaw will look even more smaller.

This is the MSE providers list. It's outdated tho. Ive recently found an MSE provider in Portugal and it hasnt been updated. Contact Won Moon on facebook, hes a nice guy and will respond.
As you probably can tell, MSE is my suggestion having ur case in mind.
Also because mine is similar. Crossbite, Bone asymmetries, Facial asymmetries, body aches if i dont stretch at least 3 times a week, etc..
Mewing works but it takes time(years). With that said and having in mind time is the most valuable thing in our lives, treat yourself with an appliance like MSE thats proven to work wonders for severe cases. You won't regret it.
As for the practioners issues. Fly out if you have to. A dental treatment in Spain or Bangladesh will be cheaper thn if it was in Australia, even accounting for the tickets. Plus, you'll get to see another culture.
From my experience and even though i've seen changes solely mewing in the past, it isnt worth it in these types of more severe cases, the time and effort it would take arent worth it when you can skip a decade of mewing hassle with 1 year of MSE.
This list is of former won moon university research fellows.
There are hundreds of orthodontists and surgeons using MSE that learn from courses or even just applied previous knowledge from other procedures or appliances and started using MSE.
@roflcopters Can you provide the address and name of Doctor who provides MSE service in Portugal?
Thank you in advance.
