I just found out about non surgical maxillary expansion today. Im 19 years old with an underbite. My orthopedist wants to fix it with surgery, but if it can be fixed naturally, that would of course be the ideal option.
How much of an improvement can i expect to see in my underbite from having proper tongue posture?
Currently my lower front teeth are about 2-3mm ahead of my upper front teeth
I really can't tell you about your case specifically, but if money is not an issue it might be worth consulting with the expert himself Dr. Mike Mew. There is by the way a recent thread about a device that supposedly fixes this problem without surgery:
With reference to the tongue, you also need to close lips, keep teeth in light contact, swallow correctly, and chewing gum to get the full effect of orthtropics.
