I found this on @couda post and its probably the theory that has made the most sense to me for mewing thus far. Just like if we sit all day our hamstrings and leg muscles will shorten/ lengthen to adapt to this constant posture. I think a lot of us just push up our tongue thinking thats as far as it will go, but if this true then we have to stretch the tongue past its limits to get back to our normal posture. This is why i think people with hard mewing seeing the most results. The hard forces definitley help but it seems that you would gain a lot of tongue ROM if we stretched it to its limit which hard mewing does. Maybe when we swallow instead of trying to do it properly try to get the WHOLE entirety of the tongue involved i know i definitley do not do that. I probably use around 30%.. anyways i think this could really help with our mewing.
