I recently started treatment with an upper and lower ALF appliance in December. As of right now, I've had two adjustments done to my appliance. My last adjustment was almost 3 weeks ago. One of my reasons for starting with palatal expansion is cervical stability. I have been getting low velocity upper cervical adjustments for several years now. Before getting into the ALF my atlas holds were about 3-4 days long. Several weeks into my ALF treatment, my holds jumped to about ten days. However, this past week my holds have been horrible averaging about a day long. My question is: has anyone else experienced a sort of chaotic period with cervical stability and expansion? What was your experience with it?

How is it going now?  I know you did not get responses, its a refined question and I haven't found a lot of ALF users on this site.  I am thinking of doing ALF and would like to know you are doing with it.  Is your cervical stability better?  What was your inter-molar width at the start?  Why did you choose ALF?
