A few days ago I came across mention of "aligner chewies" which are cylinders of spongy plastic that patients treated with clear aligners use to help seat and close any gaps between their teeth and trays to expedite their progress. It got me wondering if these could be used for chewing exercises without clear aligners for those looking for a gum alternative. I also wondered if these might be the type of "chewies" Dr. Mew mentions using with his orthotropic patients. One disadvantage is that it sounds like they don't last very long before the material becomes stiffer.
I’d like to try a a chewy! Gum was hard for me and honestly I choked too easily on it a few times that it scares me...
