I must have mild Marfan or something because I have been mewing correctly for less than a week and I just felt my bones shift in my skull and instantly I could actually breathe enough with the back of my tongue in place and I felt this incredible calm, soothing feeling come over me, like an extreme version of someone cracking your back just right, or sitting down after hard sustained exercise. It's really nice.
Yes. I know exactly what you mean, I think it's a combination of being able to breath properly and of having the tension on your skull/spine being relieved from the proper posture. Mostly the second thing.
I love it, but it also makes me a little bit sad to think that I should have had this the whole time. I've been so much more calm since I've started expanding and mewing, I think a lot of emotional and mental tension was caused by this issues. Mew even talks about this

It really is nuts! I read somewhere online that forward head posture puts you in a low-grade fight or flight reflex, continuously.
This is indeed part of the reason why the website is named as such. I have had stress and excitability evaporate as my palate expanded and airway improved. I used to be known as having an anger problem, but I've become calm all the time. Nothing gets to me anymore unless I let it, where before things could snowball into rage or depression before I had even noticed them. It even led to a career change away from one that would have required violence, I essentially developed into a pacifist.
I think a lot of issues are being caused by improper skull development. This goes far beyond aesthetics (Which is why I started), if the majority of society is actually suffering from this issue then it means that the majority of society is mentally and emotionally sick as well.
Please keep us updated on this part of the process as well, it is just just as important (and happens alongside) the physical changes.
I had a combination of feelings which included this. In addition to relaxation and greater breather, when I experienced my first mandibular upswing, the position of my jaw and angle felt so much more right and was mechanistically way better for greater bite strength. This combination of feeling "more right" and having greater bite potential just felt like my whole jaw had a greater power than ever before
the only way I can really describe it is it felt way more alpha af once the upswinging began from mewing.
While I haven't experienced this kind of change yet myself, it is really encouraging to read about! I would love to find some relief from my chronic anxiety/fatigue issues. I think it was the user named asdfasdf123 on the breakthematrix forum who wrote about this kind of mental response to palate expansion, but he deleted his posts because of privacy concerns.
