Hi idk if already been shared on here but here is what Astro said about his newest mewing gains :
for anyone whos wishing results could come sooner or if you have a deep bite /overbite with crowded lower teeth but decently straight teeth on top. Do this.
1. mew but instead of pushing up and just pushing as hard as you can, push instead with the tip on the front part of your mouth and suction hold the rest of the tongue to the roof. Dont push alot. just maintain pressure to the roof.
2. get into a errect neck postion, basically a chin tuck but with out the forcing of the chin tuck. look proud and straight like a native american, then slowly jut your mandible ever so slightly to where it aligns with your front teeth but dont have them in contact. i repeat NO TEETH CONTACT and keep lips sealed at the same time. basically the jaw should be forward and relaxed.
this over time will cause the back molars to drop, the front teeth to tip and be in an ideal rotation , therefore giving your mandible a chance to rotate and set in proper occlusion. this takes a few months but is absolutely the way to go for anyone with a deep bite
this is my "secret " to mewing if you can even call it that and why my mandible has finally caught up with my maxilla. this advice was given to me by john mew months ago and i wanted to share it. thanks
Why no teeth in contact so important? Just curious
@goofysniper I kept my teeth a little apart and now my back molars don't touch anymore when I try close my mouth.
this is a good one but can anyone give the link of video he talking about this, thank you very much.
@goofysniper No, I didn't keep my teeth in contact, I kept a space between upper and lower so that they never touched. Now I can't make my back molars touch together. My jaw must have shifted somehow..
Is this good or bad that your back molars can't touch anymore?
@dadfa I don't think it's a good thing.. because it feels strange to not be able to touch them together. It doesn't feel right. I think if you provide space between your upper and lower teeth you lose your stability for where your jaw sits, do you know what I mean?
and it's possible my jaw shifted... or it could be just tight muscles from keeping it slightly open and if i stop doing that maybe it will go back to how it was before because the muscles would have relaxed.. idk I guess only time will tell . .
@whistler by shifting do you mean you jaw is protruded ( u know like jutting forward ) or jaw dropped down.
@judicator-v2 no, i don't think it is jutting forward, I mean, i don't see my chin, like sticking out in a forward position. If anything I think it may be a bit receded, so interestingly I thought that maybe that is what it did.. keeping the space between my upper and lower teeth.. I dont know about the advice I got, maybe I kept too much of the space in between. I heard several people say though to keep a bit of space in between, but then on other videos it said that teeth should touch or else without the pressure the face won't change/get better. Again, I think when they said pressure it wasn't like clenching the jaw, but just holding it in a comfortable manner. This is what i am trying to do... I do think the jaw needs stability.. it's not normal to have it slightly open all the time... idk
@whistler dude this is the point

the interesting part of the advise was ( I highlighted in red ) jutting jaw forward part, I'm confused does this mean by jutting jaw one can shift the jaw forward eventually.

Do you mean the tip should the incisor papilla or somewhere near that, and you said your backmolars don't touch now, but your back molars would never touch if you have an overbite and move your teeth close to biting position. since you teeth are of different heights and your maxilla is rotated CW
