Omar from Right to Grow has successfully gotten their petition certified by the Edmonton Center member of Parliament.

The member of parliament will (at some point in the future) present this petition to the Canadian House of Commons, after which the Canadian government will have 45 days to respond. Now that the issue has been raised, it can also be brought forth as a session within parliament

This is big news, as any attempts to bring this issue to the attention of media or other governments in the future can now be backed up by the government recognized legitimacy of this petition, as well as the official government response.

And check out https://www.righttogrow.org/ it has a lot of good information and interviews.

Drop me a line if you want to bring attention to another campaign or have a proposal for a campaign. I'll keep tabs on this one for everyone.

Here's the article referenced on the right to growth video regarding headgear's effect on the sphenoid:

Wislander L., Tandlakare L.:  The effect of orthodontic treatment on the concurrent development of the craniofacial complex, American Journal of Orthodontics, Vol 49, No 1, January 1963, p.22-26

https://www.ajodo.org/article/0002-9416(63)90063-0/pdf

One of the conclusions of this paper reads:

there is strong evidence to support the contention that headgear treatment during the age period studied can alter the interrelationship of the sphenoid bone to the other bones in the craniofacial complex. The change in relationship recorded was a slight clockwise rotation of the sphenoid bone, with an alteration of the facial growth pattern of the treated children.

I wonder if we can then assume that reverse pull headgear would have the opposite effect, rotating the sphenoid counter-clockwise. This would explain the finding on the superimposition of the adult MSE+FM case showing the sella aligned in the before and after layers, but the pterygoid processes moving forward with the maxilla ( /community/community/main-forum/mse-asymmetry-and-protraction/#post-38474 ).
