Can mewing actually shorten the midface?

I know that it will prevent your face from getting longer, and maybe give it a litle width but can it actually shorten it? And can it give you a better jaw angle, move your jaw forward and prevent under eyes showing?

Also i've heard Mike Mew talk about how you can see change in adults up untill the age of 25. Why only 25?

the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. the second best time is now

I think there would have to be large and almost constant pressure in the right places.

Reducing face height is even more difficult than improving maxilla. You would have to literally shorten bone. I think a facemask could definetly do it, but nobody seems to talk about facemasks in the mewing community, and im not sure why.

If you have something constantly pulling the face, i dont see how the face wouldn't shorten if you were also expanding and mewing. I assume you would want the teeth slightly apart while doing this to aviod sinking the teeth further into the bone

Widening it makes the midface ratio shorter, so yes. Who cares about how tall or short it is? Proportion is all that matters. But no, your skull won't lose vertical height. Your cheekbones will go out and make your face look short. That is all that matters
