Hey, I recently decided that I want to embark on this journey and change my life for the better by adapting correct oral posture and mewing (in combination with other things such as correct body posture).

The things currently stopping me from starting are a narrow palate and a deviated septum. I am planning to use a palatal expander in order to make adequate room for my tongue, but still have to adress the deviated septum issue as I can't breath through my left nostril, which basically mean that at least half the day I breath through my mouth. 

Now to my main question, will having septoplasty interfere with the mewing process? I am asking this because I know that mewing can and does fix asymmetries, and I worry that because septoplasty only treats a small portion of the face (the septum) and not the bones surrounding it, mewing might move the bones around my nose which will in turn make my nose turn straight, but the septum deviated again.

I don't have a lot of knowledge on this subject which is why I'm asking this question and hoping someone can help, but in summary what I'm concerned about it that a septoplasty fixes a small area while leaving the rest of the bones asymmetric, which I worry might cause problems if the bones surrounding the nose because more asymmetric.
