Do I have to make sure that my front and bottom teeth are aligned?

If my child had an overbite, I may suggest to them to comfortably chew their meals in a more forward position (such as class 1), but would not encourage strain!

No, overjet should correct overtime as you learn to posture your tongue on the roof of the mouth and engage suction. Chewing gum helps as well in increasing tone of muscles holding the lower jaw.

@abdulrahman Do you think theres any hope in closing in an overjet with tongue posture alone for someone in their early twenties? Id say my upper central incisors stick out a bit less than they do in the before pic

It depends how much overjet you have. I for example closed somewhere between 2-3mm. I think @Scelra achieved the same. In your after picture it's not clear how much overjet you have if any. By the way how did you reduce your teeth crowding?

How big do you think the overjet is in the before pic? I got the photo from the assorted stories from the web thread. The person had Myobrace treatment.

How exactly do you think your overjet was reduced? By bringing the maxilla forward which caused the mandible to follow, or just moving the mandible alone?

I also have some obvious crowding in my lower teeth which Im assuming will resolve itself as my maxilla expands?

Not much, a couple mm, he might not have had overjet just teeth angulation issue.

No my maxilla did not move forward, just the upper arch of my teeth expanded allowing the lower arch more space to slide forward. Also, forward head correction, gum chewing, and tongue posturing helped.

My maxilla is somewhat recessed and trapping the lower jaw behind it, but the teeth have achieved correct relation.
